90 Page 88 By Gregory Reynolds KWG Resources Inc has won a round in its legal battle to prevent a Clif fs Natural Resources Inc subsidiary from obtaining an easement to con struct a road into the Ring of Fire over The Ring has been hailed as a poten tial 60 billion mineral treasure chest but its development has been ham pered by lack of senior government support and legal battles Chrome Corporation CCC received an Order of the Court of Appeal of Ontario granting leave to appeal the decision of the Divisional Court of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice re leased July 30 2014 As reported on Aug 1 2014 the Di visional Court decision ruled that an application for the easement sides a threejudge panel of the Court of Appeal for Ontario will then be as signed The hearing date is expected will be revisited by the Ontario Court of Appeal said KWG president Frank Smeenk Many of our exploration industry professionals were left wondering ests if claimstaking was no longer to be available for the exclusive exploi tation of a discovery W e look forward to the Court of Ap peal clarifying this issue which goes nowned mining laws and exploration industry leadership KWG owns 100 of CCC which has staked claims and conducted a 15 million surveying and soil test ing program for the engineering and construction of a railroad to the Ring from Exton Ontario The Ring is a 5000squarekilometre crescent of mostly chromite in the James Bay wetlands 500 kilometres north of Thunder Bay KWG has an interest in two chromite Big Daddy Projects in the Ring of lands of Northern Ontario cated approximately 280 kilometres north of the T own of Nakina It consists of about 1024 hectares covered by four unpatented mining claims KWG has an option to earn up to 80 in any chromium production and 20 in other minerals Bold V e ntures Inc in turn has an op tion to earn a 100 interest in the property from Fancamp Exploration in the initial option period grained disseminated to massive ac cumulations of chromite grains typi cally in a peridotite to olivine inter cumulate matrix Exploration to date has consisted of geophysics followed by diamond drilling designed to look for nickelcopper mineralisation and to trace the chromitite The chromitite has been traced ap proximately 06 kilometres along strike and one kilometre down dip chromite deposit that can be econom ically extracted using under ground mining techniques The Big Daddy is located approxi mately 280 kilometres north of the T own of Nakina KWG has a 30 interest in the Big Daddy chromite deposit and the right to earn 80 of the Black Horse chromite where re KWG has also acquired patent inter ests including a method for the direct reduction of chromite to metalized iron and chrome using natural gas Big Daddy consists of approximately 1241 hectares covered by seven un patented mining claims held in a joint venture between Canada Chrome Mining Corporation 30 Clif fs Chromite Far North Inc 30 and Clif fs Chromite Ontario Inc 40 Canada Chrome Mining Corporation is a 100 owned subsidiary of KWG Resources Inc Clif fs Chromite Far North Inc and Clif fs Chromite Ontario Inc are both 100 owned subsidiaries of Clif fs Natural Resources Inc an American company The chromite mineralisation consists sive accumulations of chromite grains typically in a peridotite to olivine cu mulate matrix There are multiple lay tion Exploration to date has consisted of geophysics followed by diamond drilling designed to trace the Big Daddy chromite zone approximately 12 kilometres along strike and ap proximately 490m down dip chromite deposit that can be econom ically extracted using a combination of open pit and under ground mining techniques in transportation into Ring
