CE RD PHG 250 0107 Copyright 2007 by Wurth 05 0058 General Instructions and Safety Regulations Always store discs in a warm dry environment approx 20 C O perators should always wear the appropiate protective equipment gloves protective foot wear ear protection dust mask U se only the specially designed arbormandrel when mounting discs Never use a worn or defective arbormandrel Always ensure the guardprotective cap is securely installed prior to grinder operation Never use a disc with visible signs of damage fatigue or excessive wear Always observe the maximum peripheral speed rating Cutting C utoff discs should never be used in a grinding application T o prevent disc failure ensure that the disc does not lock tilt or bind with the work piece Always ensure the workpiece is securely clamped in a safe manner see diagram A slight toandfro plunging motion enables the disc to cut freely through the workpiece There is no need to apply excessive weight or pressure to the grinder generally the weight of the machine is sufficient When using 1mm thick discs ensure that the arbormandrel clamps down securely If any cap is detected specially designed cardboard adapter rings must be used to ensure that the disc remains firmly in place Grinding Follow all safety precautions listed in the cutoff disc safety instructions When performing a grinding operation it is important to hold the disc at a proper angle see diagram If the angle is too shallow the disc edge will become chipped which results in overall poor disc performance and possible disc failure
