Thirty three assays are still pending. On Aug. 20, Melkior reported it had completed drilling on its 100 owned Launay gold project located in the Abitibi mineral belt in Launay T ownship, Quebec. T en holes total ling 990 metre s were drilled with the objective to con - frm historical values obtained from Zone 75 in the 1980s and to test the geometry of the known gold zone. 634 samples were submitted for as - saying. Presence of numerous gold show - ings through-out the property Disseminated auriferous pyrite ob - served over a length of 400 metres with signifcant historical drill in - tersections of 6.92 g/t Au over 12.8 m and 9.10 g/t Au over 7.0 m (Zone 75) Gold bearing shear zone of 152 me - tres long and 23 metres of average width with signifcant historical drill intersections of 5.09 g/t Au over 9.42m and 3.37 g/t Au over 6.86m (Principal Zone) Presence of a major deformation zone, the Macamic fault, believed to be a slip fault associated with the Cadillac and Destor -Porcupine faults which host world class depos - its. On Aug. 29, the company announced it has received assay results from its recent 1566 metre drill program on its Carscallen gold property in W est T immins, Ontario. T wo holes returned broad intersections of sig - nifcantly anomalous gold miner - alization, ranging from 13 to 41.75 Cont’d from pg. 104 metres, within a new geologic al envi - ronment simila r to the W ire Gold oc - currence, which consist of pyroclastic rocks associate d with a volcanic mas - sive sulphide system. A third hole was the extension of previously drilled CAR-61-2010 and intersected gold mineralization within and beyond the contact zone of the granite and mafc volcanics. From the geology , assay results and modelling, the two holes were collared too far eastward of the Shenkman system. Drill holes CAR-81-2012 and CAR- 82-2012 were collared east of the Shenkman zone and were designed to intersect the Shenkman gold zone underlying the volcanic, which was confrmed by previous drilling. A ma - jor fault zone was encountered in both holes, which appears to have displaced the zone east of the area tested to date. Broad intersections of gold mineral - ization were returned within the two drill holes which is encouraging be - cause they appear to represent a ma - jor halo around a completely other system that is possibly juxtaposed to the Shenkman system. Drill hole CAR-61X-2012 was an extension of previously drilled CAR-61-2010. CAR-61-2010 was originally terminated in granite at 350 metres after intersecting the Shenkman gold zone assaying 13.3 metres of 4.84 grams per tonne gold from 272 metres to 285.3 me - tres (see press release dated Jan. 1 1, 201 1). The hole was extended to in - vestigate the thickness of the gran - ite and the nature of the underlying volcanics. Gold mineralization was intersected within the mafc volca - nics four metres downhole from the granite-volcanic contact and within altered mafc volcanic rocks.
