Page 106 By Gregory Reynolds A successful diamond drilling pro - gram on its major project in T im - mins has been reported by Melkior Resource Inc. Melkior owns a 100 interes t in the Carscallen Property in the T immins W est area of Northeastern Ontario. The property is located 25 km southwest of the centre of the City of T immins in Carscallen and Den - ton townships. The property is 5 km west from Lake Shore Gold Corp’ s operating T immins Mine, which has an NI 43-101 compliant indicated resource of 3.2 Mt @ 12.24 g/t Au (uncut), for a total of 1.28 M oz of gold. The Carscallen Property shares ap - proximately nine km of common boundary with Lake Shore’ s prop - erty that contains the T immins Mine and several other promising depos - its/advanced prospects. Melkior is exploring the property for gold. As well, the company has been drilling its Launay gold prospect in Northwestern Quebec and is ana - Melkior has assembled thr ee major pr ojects in Ontario, Quebec lyzing drill results from its Ring of Fire (ROF) property in the James Bay Lowlands. Melkior is a publicly traded Canadian resource exploration company hold - ing diversifed properties with expo - sure to gold, and base metal s, all lo - cated in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec. The company is focused on building shareholder wealth by acquiring, ex - ploring and developing high-quality exploration prospects resulting in dis - covery . The company’ s exploration portfolio of fers excellent mineral deposit poten - tial in geographic areas with a proven history of geological discovery . W ith lar ge land holdings in key exploration areas such as McFaulds Lake in the ROF and the prolifc T immins Mining Camp, Melkior says it is well poised to make new discoveries. The Carscallen Property consists of 21 claims totalling 104 claim units. Access to the property is excellent, via a series of roads and trails which connect to Highway 101, which forms the southern border of the central portion of the property . Melkior ’ s exploration is focused in the eastern part of the property; ac - cess to this area is via a north-trend - ing road which intersects Highway 101 approxima tely 6.5 km west of the turnof f to Highway 144. The road gives direct access to the main showings and trenches on the property . The roads and trails are in relat ively good condition and a 4-wheel drive vehicle is not neces - sary for most of the property . In the winter , the main roads are easily maintained. On July 17, Melkior reported it had completed 1,566 metres of drilling on the Carscall en Property . The pro - gram included two deep holes and the exte nsion of an already existing hole. Partial assays have been received for extended hole CAR-61X-2012. The assays for CAR-81-2012, CAR- 82-2012 and remainder of CAR- 61X-2012 will be reported once they are available. Hole 61 was originally terminated in granite at 350 metres after intersect - ing the Shenkman gold zone assay - ing 13.3 metres of 4.84 g/t gold from 272 to 285.3 metres. At the time of the original drilling, Melkior was not aware that the gran - ite – mafc volcanic contact was a tar get for gold mineralization. The hole was extended to investigate the thickness of the granite and the nature of the underlying volcanics. The granite – volcanic contact inter - sected gold from 364 to 366 metres grading 5.87 g/t Au. A number of anomalous background gold values were also encountered from 399 to 409 metres grading 0.27 g/t (on 10 metres, which consist of a quartz porphyry dyke); from 51 1 Cont’d on pg. 105 “The Porcupine Camp” A New Golden Era Page 104
