T emex is the operator with overall responsibility to manage and carry out operations under the joint venture agreement. During the option period from 2005 to 2009, T emex conducted diamond drilling of near surface potentially open pitable gold minerali zation within the Broulan Reef Mine, C Zone and Hugh Pam areas. Drilling also extended the deep west-plunging structures of the 1 1 and 19 V ein systems in the Lower Hallnor Mine area. These two vein systems had historic production of 0.45 million tons at 0.30 opt gold and 0.65 million tons at 0.42 opt gold respectively , with mining operations ceased at the property boundaries. T emex also discovered the Q Zone, believed to be the down plunge extension of the main mineralized structures in the Upper Hallnor Mine which produced 1.2 million ounces of gold at an average grade of 0.42 opt gold. Under the joint venture T emex is con - ducting diamo nd drilling on the Up - per Hallnor Mine area, C Zone and Broulan Reef Mine to defne open pit gold resources typical of what has been mined at the adjacent Pamour and Hoyle mine sites. On June 14, T emex announced that a feld explora tion program (FEP) is underway on the Juby Project. The surface program is focusing on the Juby Joint V enture Property (Juby JV) and Golden Lake Property , both of which are contiguous to the 100 owned Juby Lease Property (Juby Lease) host to the Juby Main Zone. The program consists of geological mapping, prospecting, soil sampling and geophysics and will follow-up on several new gold zones discov - ered lat e in 201 1 on the Juby JV , as well as other priority tar gets. The new gold zones were discovered by soil sampling and prospecting and occur 1.5 kilometres southwest of the Juby Main Zone. These as well as the other priority tar gets represent potential satellite gold deposits proximal to the Juby Main Zone, T emex says. Soil sampling returned values rang - ing from 28 ppb gold to 1,747 ppb gold (1.7 g/t gold) defning an open ended trend with a minimum strike length of 1.5 kilometres and width of 0.5 kilometr es in an area of vir - tually no previous exploration. These are the strongest gold in soil anomalies dete cted to date on the Juby Gold Project, the company said. “The Porcupine Camp” A New Golden Era Page 99
