The property includes the past producing Hallnor , Broulan Reef and Bonetal Mines in Whitney T ownship inside the City of T imm ins.. The Hallnor Mine was the highest grade gold mine in the T immins Gold Camp, having pro - duced 1.7 mill ion ounces of gold at an average grade of 0.40 opt (13.71 g/t). A third important project is the Gowganda Silver Property . In April 2006 T emex purchased a 100 in - terest with no retained royalty in the property . The property is located three kilometres northeast of the historic sil - ver mining T own of Gowganda with excellent access and infrastructure. The property contains the past pro - ducing Miller Lake O’Brien Mine (1910-1972) with historical produc - tion of 40.7 million ounces of silver at a reported average grade of 22 opt silver . The historic mining activity on the Miller Lake O’Brien Mine generated tailings piles which are locate d on the property . On June 08, 201 1 T emex announced a NI 43-101 compliant resource esti - mate on silver contained in the tail - ings piles. The resource estim ate is based on 764 auger , drive pipe and sonic drill holes (3,012 metre s) and 2,039 assay values from drilling conducted by the previous operator in 1981, 1987 and 2000. T emex is conducting a rotasonic drilling program on the tailings to obtain lar ge samples for analy ses in order to provide greater confdence of the grade and recoverability of silver from the tailings. T emex said all eight holes intersect - ed gold minera lization that is typi - cal of the Juby Main Zone (JMZ), over extensive widths. These new holes have succeeded in extending the known gold mineralized trend a further 750 metres and the continu - ity of gold mineralization from the Juby resource is excellent which now extends over 3.5 kilometres. “W e are very pleased with these re - sults which have extended the Juby gold mineralization a substantial distance beyond the extent of the current NI 43-101 resource,” com - mented Ian Campbell, president and CEO. “These results clearly demon - strate that we are discovering what is becoming a very lar ge gold sys - tem starting from surface, is wide open along strike and at depth, has widened considerably and has an in - creased frequency of visible gold. Additionally , we are very excited that we have intersected high-grade gold mineralization proximal to the main trend in the adjacent volcanic rocks which are virtually untested in this area.” T emex holds a 60 interest in the Whitney Joint V enture with Gold - corp Canada Ltd.
