The “V ecor” arm of the company has its origins in the late 1940’ s when V anderbijlpark Engineering Corpora - tion began operations, designing and supplying mine hoisting systems for the booming gold mining industry . Fuller Company invested in the V ecor supply operation, then trading under Dorbyl Heavy Engineering, to form Fuller -V ecor in 1997. In or der to focus its activities in the mineral pr ocessing feld, Fuller Company , based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA, and Fuller -V ecor has since been r enamed FLSmidth as part of the global brand strategy . The pr esent day company has, over the years, developed an inter national r eputation as being a leader in the supply of heavy industrial mining equipment, particularly in the Fields of mineral pr ocessing and hoisting.
