5 T aking a Thermal Image An SDHC card must be installed for the Infra red Camera to save images and data If no SDHC card is installed the error message NO SD CARD is displayed 1 Use the steps under T aking a T emperature Mea surement section to frame the desire d image on the display 2 The T arget T emperature color pale tte and any displayed marks will be captured in the image 3 Pull the trigger fully to take the picture 4 T o save the image press the OK button or pull the trigger again 5 T o cancel the image use the arrow buttons to select Cancel then press the OK button Image Review T o review the saved images on the display 1 Press the Image Review button 2 Use the arrow buttons to scroll through the images 3 T o delet e an im age pr es s the OK button to select the displayed image then use the arrow buttons to select Delet e Press t he O K but t on again 4 Use the DELETE ALL function in Settings to batchdelete the images 5 T o return to live view press the Image Review button again Selecting the Emissivity Emissivity is an internal setting that is used to adjust the tool based on the type of material being mea sured Dif ferent materials emit radiation dif ferently an d cha ngi ng the e missivi ty va lue w ill p ro vi de a more accurate temperature based on the material being measured Select the material or emissivity level in Settings 1 Press the Settings button 2 Use t he arrow but t ons t o select EMI SSI VI T Y 3 Press OK 4 Emissivity can be set by ratio or material Use the arrow buttons to select the ratio col umn or the material column Then use the arrow but t ons t o s elec t t he des ir ed rat io or mat er ial 5 Press OK T arget Materials and Corresponding Emissivity Ratios Material Emissivity Ratio Material Emissivity Ratio Aluminum 030 Paint 093 Asphalt 095 Rubber 095 Brick 083 Sand 090 Concrete 095 Soil 092 Copper 060 Steel 080 Iron 070 W ater 093 Oil Petroleum 094 W ood 094 A va i l a bl e Ma te ri a l Se tti ng i n th e EMISSIVITY me n u MAINTENANCE W ARNING T o reduce the risk of injury always unplug the cha rge r and r emov e the b attery p ack fro m th e ch arg er o r to o l b efo re performing any maintenance Never disassemble the tool battery pack or charger Contact a MIL W AUKEE service facility for ALL repairs Obtaining T echnical Support or Service Y our tool should not need calibration however to obtain documentation that your tool meets specifca tions contact the nearest service center The tool will be sent out for testing and you will receive it back with proper documentation Maintaining T ool Keep your tool battery pack and charger in good re pair by adopt ing a r egular m aint enanc e pr ogr am A f ter six months to one year depending on use return the tool battery pack and charger to a MIL W AUKEE service facility for Lubrication Mechani cal inspe ction and cleaning gears spin dles bearings housing etc Electrical inspecti on battery pack charger motor T esting to assure proper mechanica l and electrical operation If the tool does not start or operate at full power with a fully charged battery pack clean the contacts on the battery pack If the tool still does not work prop erly return the tool charger and battery pack to a MIL W AUKEE service facility for repairs W ARNING T o reduce the risk of personal in jury and damage never immerse yo u r to o l b att ery p ack o r ch arg er i n l i q u i d o r allow a liquid to fow inside them Cleaning Clean dus t and debr is f r om v ent s K eep handles clean dry and free of oil or grease Use only mild soap and a damp cloth to clean since certain clean ing agents and solvents are harmful to plastics and other insulated parts Some of these include gasoline turpentine lacquer thinner paint thinner chlorinated cleaning solvents ammonia and household deter gents containing ammonia Never use fammable or combustible solvents around tools Cleaning the Lens Blow of f loose particles with clean compressed air Carefully wipe the surface with a cotton swab moistened with water Using a second cotton swab dry completely Repairs For repairs return the tool battery pack and charger to the nearest service center ACCESSORIES W ARNING Use only recommen ded accesso ries Others may be hazardous For a complete listing of accessories go online to www milwaukeetoolcom or contact a distributor
