Page 22 By Kevin V incent Moneta Porcupine Mines contin ues to outline its promising Golden Highway Project east of T immins The company announced the latest set of encouraging results from its South W est Deposit drill program in early April Gary OConnor CEO Chief Ge ologist commented W e are very pleased to see the continued expan sion of gold mineralization in the South W est area Stepout drilling has extended the strike and depth extent of the veins and mineralized shoots The drilling continues to ex pand the size potential and confrms the grades of these higher grade structures being tar geted by the drill ing The total number of veins has increased to ffteen and mineralized shoots to fve W e have been very en couraged by the results to date and continue to drill at South W est to ex pand the size of the system increase the number of veins and shoots and confrm the higher grades The lat est assay results are from eight drill holes totalling 488590 m of drilling at South W est testing higher grade structural tar gets The ongoing drill program at South W est continues as part of the previously an nounced exploration drill program un dertaken by the Company in late 2017 on the Golden Highway Project The program consisted of over 20000 me tres and 50 drill holes and the encour aging results have driven the Company to expand the drill program Assays for additional drill holes are pending and will be release d as they become avail able The Golden Highway Project cov ers 12 kilometres of prospective ul tramafcmafc volcanicsedimentary rocks along the DPFZ hosting a NI 43101 indicated resource estimate of 1091000 ounces 311 Mt at 109 gt Au and 3204000 ounces inferred 833 Mt at 120 gt Au clustered within four kilometres On a tec hnical basis the company says drilling to date at South W est has been successful in confrming the existence of ffteen tension veins and fve shear plane bounded mineralized shoots The NW trending tension vein arrays occur as stacked en echelo n veins steeply dipping to the SW at 70 and occur south of the ENE trending shear zone within clastic sediments in con tact with the Banded Iron Formation BIF This sheared contact hosts the mineralized shoots or D struc tures which plunge 65 to the west and occur up to 50 m long 25 m wide and have been traced to depths of 400 m The tension veins and stockwork style veining within the shoots oc cur as quartzcarbonatepyri te veins within a distinct ankerite alteration halo occasionally associated with sericite A zone of pyritechlorite and quartz veinlets occurs adjacent to the veins and also hosts mineralization The veins can be brecciated and oc cur as quartz matrix supported breccia zones The modelled veins have an average width of approximately 300 m and are spaced 25 m to 30 m apart The veins can be traced for up to 350 m strike length have been historically drilled to 1200 m depth and remain open to the south A ffth SW 5 min eralized shoot has now been success fully drilled to the east exten ding the foot print of the vein system to 1000 m The newly tested ffteenth vein Gap V ein occurs to the east in the Gap area The Company holds a 100 interest in 5 core gold projects strategically located along the Destor Porcupine Fault Zone in the T immins Gold Camp with over 85 million ounces of past gold production The projects consist of the Golden Highway North T isdale Nighthawk Lake Kayorum and Denton projects Page 20
