This ensures that our solutions and advice are not only practical and workable, but take account of appropriate geotechnical, hydrogeological, economic and environmental considerations. SRK's services cover scoping, pre - feasibility and feasibility studies and economic evaluations, detailed mine design and layouts, production scheduling and equipment selection, operating cost estimation and capital expenditure estimation. W e also have key people pro - actively reviewing improved mining methods outside traditional approaches. W e have in - house skills with all major software design, optimisation and scheduling packages. W e have expert users for a range of software packages including Whittle, Gemcom, V ulcan, MineSight, Datamine, Surpac, T alpac, Xpac and Minemax. W e have developed an innovative and rigorous mine planning methodology that takes a mineral resource through to a comprehensive technical report inclusive of the life - of - mine plan and techno- economic model. The methodology frst focuses on pit optimisation to determine the cut - off strategy , economic mining depth, size and scale of operation. W e are dedicated to identifying the best option for project development and producing client-focused solutions to technical challenges. With the growing need to bring projects into production more quickly and on budget, we can accelerate the process for mining companies by supplying consultants to supplement the client’ s own technical resources to achieve the desired outcomes within the project timeframe. Our personnel ensure appropriate decisions to guide project development are made at the earliest opportunity , and are committed to reviewing what aspects of project advancement can be done in parallel to minimise the risk of rework. European bulk commodity producer Project: Located in Finland. Scope: Feasibility studies assessing the viability of in - pit crushing and conveying (IPCC) for a long life - of - mine operation. Outcome: A conceptual study considered the benefits and risks; operating and capital costs were estimated and reported. This determined the IPC locations and conveying options potentially adding significant project value. Further studies considered modifications to the mine plan to provide an updated mine production schedule, and staged and final mine designs to update both cost and revenue streams.
