In the next decade, the company expanded its product line with such additions as the Champion steam threshing engine and a hook and ladder truck. In 1882, the company established a repair shop in Winnipeg to support its clientele in the area and in 1886 opened a manufacturing plant in St. Paul, Minnesota which produced the Frost Jack fre hydrant and a line of fre engines. The Winnipeg facility was shut down in 1929 since the industry it supported had moved further west. Subsequently , the company opened a facility in Edmonton and added drum barkers and enlarged centrifugal screens to its pulp machinery line.
