Page 37 At Whitney , T emex holds a 60% in - terest in a joint venture with Goldcorp Canada Ltd. (Goldcorp) as manager , and on behalf of the Porcupine Gold Mines Joint V enture (a joint venture between Goldcorp Inc. and Gold - corp). The property includes the past producing Hallnor , Broulan Reef and Bonetal mines. The Hallnor Mine was the highest grade gold mine in the T imm ins Gold Camp, having produced 1.7 million ounces of gold at an average grade of 0.40 opt (13.71 g/t). Whitney is locat - ed on a 4 kilometre long, 10 million ounce mine trend. T emex is the opera - tor with overall responsibility to man - age and carry out operations under the joint venture agreement. The Juby Main Zone contain s a Na - tional Instrument 43-101 (NI 43-101) compliant resource of 22.3 million tonnes at a grade of 1.30 g/t gold for 934,645 ounces of gold in the Indicat - ed category and 28.2 million tonnes at a grade of 1.00 g/t gold for 905,621 ounces of gold in the Inferred category , both at a cut-of f grade of 0.40 g/t gold. This resource was defned from surface along a strike lengt h of 2,800 metre s and is hosted in altered T imiska - ming sedimen ts and felsic intru - sive rocks. The Juby Gold Project is situated along the southwestern exten sion of the Larder Lake-Cadillac Fault Zone between AuRico Gold Inc.’ s Y oung Davidson Gold Mine at Matachewan and IAMGOLD Corporation’ s Cote Lake gold deposit to the west. The drill program commenc ed with two rigs on the projected western portion of the Juby Main Zone on the Golden Lake Property where drilling of eight holes in spring 2012 inter - sected widespread gold mineralization typical of the Juby Main Zone a fur - ther 750 metre s west where it remains wide open. Between late November and late December , 14 holes were completed for a total of 4,262 metres and approximately 4,600 samples sent for analysis; the two rigs resumed drilling on Jan. 8, 2013. T emex is a Canadian based explora - tion company focusing on its portfo - lio of precious metals properties in Northeastern Ontario. T emex (60% interest) is exploring the T immins Whitney Property , in partnership with Goldcorp Inc. (40% joint ven - ture interest; no back-in rights), and the Juby Gold Project, 100 km south of the centre of T immins at Shining T ree. T wo key gold projects, Whitney in the cent er of T immins, Canada’ s lar g - est gold camp, and Juby , which is set to eclip se one million ounces of gold in each of the Inferred and Indicated categories, have considerabl e upside with signifcant value yet to be realized providing a solid platform for immedi - ate and long term growth. On Jan. 15, the company announced it has received the frst set of assays from its drill ing program at Juby . Results for drill holes GL12-09 to GL12-14 on the Golden Lake portion of the project continue to rapidly expand the Juby Main Zone gold zone to depth and demonstrate excellent conti nuity for one kilometre along strike to the west, intersect new zones of high grade gold mineralization, and confrm previous drilling results in this new area of the project. T emex is well fnanced with $9 million in cash. “W e are extremely pleased with the results reported today which continue to demonstrate the Juby Main Zone is a very lar ge gold system that is wide open at depth and along strike. Our current drilling on the Golden Lake portion of the project is testing only a fraction of the Juby Main Zone trend, acquire d in late 2012 through our re - cent consolida - tion of the Gold - eye propertie s which expanded our landhold - ings ten-fold on this outstand - ing project ,” commented Ian Campbell, pres - ident and CEO. All six holes re - ported success - fully intersecte d gold mineraliza - tion that is typical of the Juby Main Zone (JMZ) over extensive and in - creasing widths. Importantly , there is an incre asing incidence of narrow , but high grade, intervals including new discoveries in the hanging wall T imis - kaming sediments and feldspar por - phyry units containing visible gold. The six holes were drilled on three sections which, combined with the company’ s frst eight holes drilled on the Golden Lake Property , extend the known gold mineralized trend a further 750 metres to the west and demonstrate excellent contin uity of gold mineralization from the current western extent of the Juby Main Zone NI 43-101 gold resources. The current drill pattern consists of a minimum of two holes drille d per section, with sec - tions spaced 75 to 100 metres apart. moving two T immins ar ea pr ojects towards pr e-development stage Cont’d on pg. 37 TIMMINS / MA THESON CAMP
