Ontario Clean W ater Agency 2012 Annual Report 9 2012 Results and Key Achievements Organizational Gr owth Since our establishment in 1993 OCW A has been committed to ear ning and maintaining our clients trust thr ough operational excellence and the delivery of value added services That commitment has enabled us to become a market leader in Ontario with 75 per cent of the outsour ced water and wastewater services market W e ar e always working to expand our market shar e by r etaining our existing clients and attracting new ones This past year has been very positive fnancially as we wer e able to r etain 947 per cent of our clients and incr ease our operations r evenue by 69 per cent compar ed with the pr evious year W e also exceeded our r evenue target by 67 per cent and for the frst time in our 19year history surpassed 150 million in annual r evenue Our consulting services also performed well with Engineering Services exceeding its exter nal r evenue target by 12 per cent and the T raining and Asset Management and Operational Support System AMOSS gr oups exceeding their exter nal r evenue targets by 18 per cent and 13 per cent r espectively A major accomplishment for 2012 was the Agency s successful bids for two signifcant longterm contracts In January following a lengthy and compr ehensive competitive bidding pr ocess the Agency was chosen as the pr eferr ed pr ovider for a fveyear 351 million contract to operate the water tr eatment and transmission systems for the Lake Hur on and the Elgin Ar ea Primary W ater Supply Systems This contract entails the pr ovision of drinking water to mor e than half a million r esidents in a total of 14 municipalities Later in the year the Agency was also named the pr eferr ed pr ovider for a 76 million20plus5years contract to operate and manage the Lambton Ar ea W ater Supply System LA WSS which serves mor e than 100000 customers in Lambton County Stratfor d W astewater T r eatment Plant
