By using this method, the user can be assur ed the pr oper clamp load is applied to the far e connection r egar dless of the plating type. A. Hand tighten the swivel nut to the mating male far e adapter . “Hand Tight” is described as the point wher e the swivel nut will no longer thr ead onto the mating connector when moderate tor que is applied with the hand or fngers. When this is complete wiggle the swivel nut back and forth to insur e full engagement has taken place. B. Mark a line on one of the swivel nut hex fats and extend that line onto the hex of the tube adapter as shown. C. Using the pr oper wr ench, tur n the swivel nut to tighten. The nut is to be r otated clockwise the r ecom - mended number of hex fats as shown below and in the chart titled “Assembly Pr ocedur es – Flats Rotation”. D. Note: a second wr ench should be used to hold the coupling hex to pr event hose twist during assembly .
