Figur e 1 r epr esents the range of anchorage str engths for estimating r equir ements. 2. Depending upon the compr essive str ength of the r ock being consider ed, the diameter of the hole may af fect the anchorage str ength – the lar ger the diameter , the lar ger the contact ar ea. 3. Pull test under feld conditions should be used to determine actual r equir ements. 4. Gel times a re faster when temperatur es exceed 55°F and slower when temperatur es ar e below 55°F . 5. For RPM not shown in the Mix T able, determine minimum spin time based on 30 r evolutions. 6. For 1-minute and lower gel times, the spin times indicated exceed the minimum 30 r evolutions necessary for mixing. The additional spin times generates heat to achieve the stated gel times. 7. Mixing the r esin and catalyst components in a cartridge cr eates a str ong thr ee dimensional polymer matrix that is r einfor ced with limestone flters. Most of the anchorage str ength is r eached in 5 to 10 times the pr oduct gel time. Fig. 2. Gel time continued 6000-8000 PSI - Limestones 1800-2200 PSI - Shales/Sandstones* 700-800 PSI - Mudstones/Siltstones 12000-15000 PSI - Granites *Sandstones will vary since they ar e often intermixed with shales.
