Zinc Epoxy Coating Zinc Coated OMEGA-BOL T ® r ock bolts ar e r ecommended for mid-term support in tunneling, civil engineering and mining applications, wher e non acidic to slightly acidic corr osive envir onments can be expected. This coating consists of a zinc rich epoxy coating that acts as a physical barrier as well as a galvanic pr otection against corr osion. This polymer coating cr eates a physical barrier that is impenetrable by most acids, bases, alkalizes and highly electr onegative solutions. This includes but is not limited to sulfuric acid, hydr ochloric acid and sodium hydr oxide. This coating is also highly abrasion r esistant.
