mine in the City of T immins Kidd Operation s as it is known today is the best known VMS discovery The deposit was discovered in 1963 and in production since 1966 Explor s group of properties are locat ed to the north south west and east of the Kidd Mine s Open Pit in Kidd T ownship located approxim ately 20 km north of the centre of T immins Explor s Kidd T ownship s properties have a land position that cover an area of approximately 280520 hectare A topographical feature in the area is the Open Pit located in the central portion of Explor s Kidd T ownship properties Explor completed a geophysical pro gram consisting of mag and maxmin to bette r defne the tar gets in Decem ber 2016 and in March started a 3000 metre diamond drill program Exploration drilling completed by Ex plor prior to March 15 reveal ed a ma jor fault structure running to the west of the Open Pit in a NW SE direction The company says a thorough re view of all existing geophysical data appears to support these fndings Drilling by Falconbridge in 1998 to the southeast of the Open Pit Hole K2601 returned 47m in which 4 of the 5 samples returned zinc values from 4200 8900 ppm and copper values that ranged from 700 2280 ppm The Magnetic Anomaly associated with these results appears to continue onto Explor s property holdings It also says a series of untested AEM airborne electromagnetic conduc tors detected on the Kidd T ownship Group of Properties to the north south east and west of the existing Open Pit clearly warrant further in vestigation W ell known examples of the clus ter efect of VMS Deposits are the Bathurst Mining Camp where 47 deposits have been found to date including the Brunswick No12 and the Brunswick No6 Mines where more than 130000000 tonnes of base metal ore has been produced to date and the Noranda Mining Camp where 18 deposits have been found to date with 68100000 tons of Base Metal Production from the Horne Mine and Quemont Deposits alone The presence of mafc and felsic rocks on the Kidd T ownship Group of Prop erties with anomalous zinc and copper supports the opinion that additional VMS Deposits exist within the group Explor is a Canadianbased natural re sources company with mineral hold ings in Ontario Quebec Saskatch ewan and New Brunswick Explor is currently focused on ex ploration in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt The belt is found in both prov inces of Ontario and Quebec with ap proximately 33 in Ontario and 67 in Quebec The belt has produced in excess of 180000000 ounces of gold and 450000000 tonnes of cuzn ore over the last 100 years Explor s part of an earnin on the TPW prop erty In February Explor announced the acquisition of 6 mining claims 16 mineral claim units situated in Og den T ownship Porcupine Mining Di vision District of Cochrane Ontario These claims are located to the north and east of the company s Ogden Property Highway 101 W est is north of the property and provides excellent access to T immins The claims were acquired because of encouraging re sults obtained in Explor s past explo ration on this property W ith this acquisition the Ogden Prop erty now consists of 21 minin g claims 1 15 mineral claim units Explor announced fur ther results from the 12 diam ond drill holes completed on its Chester Cop per Property It is located in Northum berland County 70 km southwest of Bathurst New Brunswick and 50 km westnorthwest of Miramichi within the Bathurst Mining Camp BMC This area has an extensive history in base metal production from VMS de posits Chris Dupont president and CEO of Explor commented W e are ex tremely pleased and encouraged by these preliminary drill results The presence of multiple copper mineral ized zones in each of the holes drilled is very signifcant in terms of explora tion The increase in strike length of the known mineralization from 500 to 750 metres confrms the potential to signifcantly increase the resources on the property The property continues to be open on strike to the west and northwest There has been very little exploration work in this area of the BMC since the init ial exploration more than 60 years ago Of signifcanc e also is the fact that three age date studies of the rock in the area since 2005 have indicated an age of 469 03 ma All of the main lar gest VMS deposits in the BMC in cluding BMS 12 and 6 the Caribou Deposit currently being developed by T ravalli and the past producing Heath Steele Mines are associated with this age date for the footwall fel sic rocks That new data in 2007 places Explor s Chester deposit in the same time frame as the Brunswick Mining No 12 and No 6 deposits located in the BMC Geology favourable to host gold mineralization
