54 54 Page 54 By Gregory Reynolds Drilling by Metals Creek Resources Corp continues to intersect high grade gold mineralization on its Ogden T ownship project in the City of T im mins It has announced fnal drill results from its completed diamond drill program tar geted on expanding the Thomas Ogden Gold Zone T OG lo cated in the heart of the T immins Gold Camp This program consisted of six holes 2382 meters and was successful in further defning the T OG Zone and host stratigraphy Results from the frst hole T OG1647 was outlined in a previous release dated Nov 15 2016 and included an interse ction of 573 gt grammes per tonne gold over 82m metres Highlights from the remaining fve holes included an intersection of 439 gt over 1245m from hole T OG16 48 T OG 1648 was a 45m undercut be low previously released hole T OG 13 27 which intersected several zones of mineralization including a down hole intercept of 4996 gt Au over 90m Hole T OG 1648 intersected the zone at a downhole depth of 19995m and assayed 439 gt gold over 1245 m This intersection is typical of the T OG Zone and is described as a strongly altered felsite and conglomerate char acterized by strong albitization and silicifcation with associated dissemi nated pyrite local arsenopyrite and visible gold Commented Alexander Sandy Stares president and CEO of MEK Management remains highly encour aged by these results as we continue to inter sect high grade gold mineral ization over appreciable widths with in 10 km of Goldcorp s Dome Mill Complex Each drill program adds to our under standing of the controls of the min eralization and will enable MEK to more efectively evaluate the down plunge projection of the T OG Zone as well as integ rate the 1540 zone lo cated 500m to the west of T OG into the current geological model The property is held under a joint venture in which Metals Creek owns 50 and Gold corp Canada Ltd owns 50 as mana ger and on behalf of the Por cupine Joint V enture between Goldcorp Inc and Goldcorp Canada Ltd with MEK be ing the operato r of the project The Ogden claims cover eight kilome tres of strike length of the PorcupineDestor Fault between Gold corp s 165 million oz Dome Mine and T ahoe Resources W est T im mins Mine The vast majority of the PorcupineDestor Fault on the property Metals Creek Goldcorp Ogden drilling r eporting high grade gold mineralization is underexplored compared to other properties in the T immins Gold Camp Metals Creek has been acce pted to participate in the Junior Exploration Assistance Program JEAP grant of up to 333 of approved explora tion expenses up to a maxi mum of 100000 on the Ogden Project MEK thanked the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund and the Ontario Pros pectors Association for the opportu nity to participate in this program Metals Creek a junior exploration company incorporated under the laws of the Province of Ontario is a reporting issuer in Alberta British Columbia and Ontario and has its common shares listed for trading on the TSXV enture Exchange under the symbol MEK Metals Creek has earned a 50 in terest in the Ogden Gold Property including the former Naybob Gold mine located 6 km south of T ownship near the community of Matheson in Northeastern Ontario with excellent infrastructure W ork performed by Metals Creek has in cluded linecut ting geologic al map ping ground geophysics and diamond drilling T illex is host to a copper deposit which was originally discovered in 1973 by W estmin Resources Ltd where 17 drill holes were completed and the claims were taken to a lease A historic non 43101 compli ant near surface resource of 1338000 tonnes grading 156 Cu was calcu lated in 1990 on the deposit by Pacifca Re sources Ltd The company has also recently en tered into an OptionJV with T rifecta Gold Ltd on Metals Creek s Squid properties in Y ukon It also has a JV with Benton Resourc es on Metals Creeks Staghorn Gold Project in Newfoundland as well as two option agreements with Ana conda Mining Inc on Metals Creek s Jacksons Arm and T ilt Cove Proper ties also in Newfoundland Metals Creek has been advised by its option partner Anaconda that Ana conda has completed a preliminary work program at the Jackson s Arm property It is part of Anaconda s Great Northern Project located ap proximately 20 kilometres north of Anaconda s V iking project The work program was successful in defning areas of prospectivity with in the property by determin ing key geological controls associated with known surface mineralization Anaconda can earn a 100 interest by making payments of 200000 issu ing to Metals Creek 500000 shares of Anaconda and completing work ex penditures of 750000 over 3 years After vesting Metals Creek will retain a 2 NSR Metals Creek is
