entered into option agreements with MetalCorp Lim ited to acquire a 100 interest in a signifcant land position totaling ap proximately 7250 hectares known as the Heikki Project within the Hemlo Gold Belt in Northern Ontario The Hemlo Gold Camp historically produced approximately 21 million ounces of gold from the Golden Gi ant David Bell and Page W illiams Mines over the course of 31 years As of January 2016 proven and probable reserves from the Hemlo Mines were 917000 ounces grading 216 gt Au The Golden Giant Mine which was decommissioned in 2005 is now part of the David Bell and W illiams Mines owned by Barrick Gold and remains in production Golden Peak s Hemlo East consists of 32 claims 219 units covering ap proximately 3504 hectares The overall structural and strati graphic setting as well as the nature of the alteration seen on the property are very similar to the mined Hemlo De posit The continuous alteration zones are known to also host local gold oc currences Excellent infrastructure exists with access provided by the T ransCanada Highway Hwy 17 from which all weather roads lead into the property Hemlo East is located 30 km east from Marathon T odd Hanas president prolifc Hemlo Gold Mining Camp Golden Peak is a wellfnanced Ca nadian junior precious metals com pany focused on the explora tion of its strategic land position assembled in the prolifc Hemlo Gold Mining Camp The company is comprised of a proven management group of expe rienced technic al geological engi neering and marketfnance profes sionals tasked with building new strategic partnerships to maximize the exploration activity and discov ery potential of its land holdings The company plans to commence reviewing airborne geophysical data in order to focus on the most pro spective areas of this land package which is approximately 15 km in aerial extent from east to west and approximately 20 km from north to south Under the term s of the agreement with MetalCorp in order to earn a 100 interest in the property Gold en Peak is required to pay a total of CDN340000 issue an aggregate of 2250000 common shares and incur a total of CDN1800000 in exploration expenditures on the property over a threeyear period The property is subject to a 25 net smelter royalty NSR with a buyback of 05 for US1000000 All securities issued pursuant to the agreement will be subject to a four month and oneday hold period from the date of issue Golden Peak intends to further test the mineralized and altered zones of the property both along trend and to depth and to also follow up from previous historical shallow drilling Initially the Upper Anoma lous Zone UAZ will be tar geted in combination with what is known as the Egg Lake Horizon which lies stratigraphically andor structurally below
